Located across the way from the Apple Store in the Canberra Centre, Melbourne based retail store Husk is now a welcomed addition to the Centre.

Opening 22 years ago in Melbourne, the flagship store in Toorak is known by its customers for its beautiful warm atmosphere as it’s complete with a fireplace and café. Husk aims, and achieves, a sensory experience from the moment you walk in. The stunning rendered alcoves combined with elements of glass, wood, and stone bring together an environment and ambiance that is unique to the Husk experience.

The Canberra Centre store features fantastic racks of beautifully embellished and textured clothing and the store is set with its very own basin for customers to try the sensory collections, which focuses on the Husk aesthetic that emphases an understanding of earthy luxury with an exotic flavour.

Husk offers fashion garments, accessories, homewares, and sensory items in store and a mix of international offerings that are coordinated with the coveted Husk brand. The brand’s philosophy is about bringing global diversity into the store and demonstrating an artistic appreciation for style, quality and uniqueness.

CEO Damian Taylor, Rohan Sutherland, and Just Jeans founder Craig Kimberley, alongside Creative Director Kirrily Johnston are proud to announce that with the addition of the Canberra store, the business now has 11 stores and are also online.

Currently, Husk stocks Husk items that sit alongside international brands such as Cecile Copenhagen, Rebecca Taylor, Citizens of Humanity, ALC, L’Agence, and La La Berlin – just to name a few – which are all in store and ready for you to try on for yourself.

Speaking of the Husk brand, their range comprises of their sensory items including hand and body wash, candles, body lotion, and oils, as well as homewares, scarves, jewellery, shoes, and a full apparel collection that features stunning printed silk dresses, unexplainably beautiful leather jackets, and an extensive knitwear collection that emphasizes on cashmere and luxury yarns.

Since opening, the store within The Canberra Centre has seen an overwhelmingly positive response and there has been a huge amount of compliments towards the store’s fit out and stock, and Canberran’s are absolutely thrilled that Husk is finally in the capital! It only takes a quick peek into the store to realize that there is nothing like it in the state.

Signature Husk dresses and leather items are already flying off the shelves as well as timeless wardrobe staples and limited edition dresses, pants, and lovely feminine tops. The gorgeous collection of bone inlay frames and boxes are also selling like hotcakes – probably as they are such a beautiful gift idea in the lead up to Christmas.

Husk’s buying team strongly focuses on sourcing unique products that aren’t mass produced so clients can feel exclusive and know that they are wearing and using special items. Husk customers love the sense of discovery and knowing that what you can buy from the store, from the garments to the sensory items, is unique and distinctive.

The store really must be seen for yourself, so make a trip that will be worthwhile and pick yourself up an embellished leather jacket and some hand and body wash – they’re my picks anyway! Now, I can officially say I am a Husk obsessed customer!
