Canberra-based, not-for-profit organisation, Hartley Lifecare launched their One Million Harts Campaign earlier this year to raise one million dollars for the redevelopment of Hartley Court, one of the first supported independent living communities for people with disabilities.

Operating since 1962, Hartley has been providing a life-changing range of services to people with disability and their families, including supported independent living, short term (respite) accommodation, community support, transportation and operating the Hartley hydrotherapy pool.

In support of the campaign, Hartley is also hosting a range of fundraising events such as a glamorous high tea earlier this year, a very exciting Christmas market coming up on December 5 and a cycle challenge in February 2022. Alternatively, donations can be made on their website to help reach their goal.

“The positive impacts of campaigns like this are not only felt by the organisation and the people we support, but also the Canberra Community on a wider scale,” says CEO of Hartley Lifecare, Eric Thauvette.
