Beloved bakery and cafe Sweet Bones was one of the first all-vegan cafes to hit Canberra’s hospitality scene and has captured the hearts of vegans old and new, and even ones who aren’t, with their unbelievable sweet treats and delicious menu items.

Now you can find them in two stores across Canberra after they recently opened in Scullin. And yes, all their Braddon favourites including the cinnabuns, banana bread and tacos will be on the menu, plus some exciting new additions.

Starting back in 2011, owners Emily and Russell Brindley began delivering their delicious vegan cakes to cafes around Canberra, before opening their first store in 2012. Fast forward to now, the well-known Canberra institution has a cult following, which sees the dessert fridge regularly cleared out before lunch.

Baking in-house daily, you often can’t fathom how these rich goodies could possibly be vegan. That’s probably why their cookbook remains sold out.

Sweet Bones in Scullin is now open seven days a week. If you’re a Belconnen local, get yourself a sweet treat this weekend.
