The Realm Precinct will be donning the red, white and blue for a month of French wine, food, sport and festivities.

In recognition of Bastille Day and the Tour de France, Hotel Realm’s Buvette Bistro & Wine Bar and Ostani Lounge, Bar & Restaurant will be saying ‘oui-oui’ to their inner Francophile.

Anyone wishing to mark the French National Day can celebrate at Buvette Bistro with its Bastille Day Petit Feast on Saturday 15 July or with a truly French Bastille Day Dinner on Friday 14 July.

Guests at the Bastille Day Petit Feast will be greeted with signature Lillet Mode De Vide on arrival before enjoying savouries, charcuterie, cheeses and a selection of delicious desserts. While being entertained by a French accordion player, guests can treat themselves to a drink from the Piper-Heidsieck pop-up bar or purchase a Bloody Mary or bottomless glass of Mimosas.

For just $95 per head, the Bastille Day Dinner will be a feast for the senses. Each guest will be treated to an amuse-bouche of a Pacific oyster with apple and truffle, while the rest of the menu features steak tartare, braised beef bourguignon, Comte cheese and truffle soufflé, chocolate fondant and baked apple crumble. Guests will also be treated to a glass of Piper-Heidsieck Brut NV Champagne upon arrival.

Why not sit back and enjoy a French beverage while catching up with friends and all the action from the Tour de France, which will be televised at Ostani on the big screens. To celebrate, Ostani is giving guests the chance to win a Trek road bike, valued at over $3,000; and thanks to Robert Oatley Wines, Hotel Realm will also be giving away a trip for two to Hamilton Island, valued at $2,500.

The getaway to Hamilton Island includes three nights’ accommodation at the Reef View Hotel, breakfast, transfers, a dining experience at the renowned Bommie restaurant and a $500 Flight Centre voucher for flights.

To enter, guests only need to purchase a Furphy beer or a glass or bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Brut NV Champagne. The competition will be available from now until Sunday 13 August.

So Vive la France in July and head to the Realm Precinct for a taste of all things French. C’est Magnifique!
