With such beautiful spring weather trickling in, it’s time to dust off that deck chair and enjoy the ultimate film experience outdoors in the gorgeous landscape of the Australian National Botanic Gardens at IMB Sunset Cinema Canberra

If you love good food and good company, Sunset has got you covered with a big screen showing an amazing line up of film this summer under the stars.

Some highlights of the season include opening night this Friday 11 November, showing the thrilling Girl on a Train – based on the New York Times fiction best-seller, this is a psychological rollercoaster that can only be made more chilling in an outdoor setting.

Some other favourites to jot down on your to-watch list include:

Keeping up with the Joneses (M)
6:30pm Saturday 26 November

A suburban couple becomes embroiled in an international espionage plot when they discover that their seemingly perfect new neighbors are government spies.

Sully (M)
6:30pm Thursday 1 December

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ when Captain ‘Sully’ Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

Storks (G)
6:30pm Friday 16 December

Storks deliver babies – or at least they used to. Now, they deliver packages for a global internet retail giant. Junior, the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the baby making machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop.
