Long Term Garden Planning in Canberra – Thursday 4 June 4.30pm

A short introductory session on how to make a long-term plan for your garden in Canberra. Now is a great time to invest some time into a long term garden plan. Take a moment with Benjamin Taylor from Good Ground Horticulture as he gives you some starting points for deciding where your garden is going to go.

This is an online course conducted over the videoconferencing platform Zoom. Register via Eventbrite to receive the meeting link. Entry to this workshop is by donation to help cover costs. A suggested $10 per person, but everyone will have access to these workshops, so feel free to pay whatever amount you can. This workshop is part of Sustainability at Home, our series of virtual events and online resources to inspire and inform anyone and everyone about living sustainably at home.

Black Lives Matter Peaceful Protest Friday 5 June 10.30am

A merged protest for Black Lives Matter and Indigenous Australians, organised by Ngunnawal community leaders. This protest is taking place on Friday at 10:30am, starting at Garema place, Civic and then marching to Parliament House. There will be a number of speakers at both locations. Band together to show our solidarity for people of colour across the globe, including Indigenous people in Australia.

Sunday Dine & Drink Sesh – Sunday 7 June

Have some fun this Sunday long weekend with delicious eats, fancy craft cocktails and Caribbean rhythms at Highball Express.

Enjoy a menu of charcuterie and cheese, sliders to desserts. Add a glass of wine or cocktails from the drinks menu and celebrate the long weekend. For some extra fun, you can book a cocktail class with your dining experience. You’ll have two hours of hands-on cocktail making before enjoying your dining session.

What Do Artists Make: Seeing Canberra – all weekend

Children will explore Seeing Canberra; an exhibition that focuses on the development of the Canberra landscape through the eyes of the artists who have depicted it. In the gallery, children will discover artworks that reflect the growth of the city and how it has changed.

In the CMAG Studio, they will explore and experiment with different tools and techniques to create their own artworks about Canberra. Recommended preschool – year 2
