Special Photos with Santa at Westfield Woden and Belconnen- Thursday 22- 25th November

Don’t know what to do on the weekend? Why not say G’day to Santa and get those Christmas photos in early! The Week of the Italian way of Living at Italian Embassy- Friday 23- 25th November

A dream come true for lovers of all things Italian- this weekend is all about appreciating Italian offerings in all different fields including arts and design, advanced technology, and of course top quality Italian food.  The events will be enhanced by the participation of the award winning Chef Matteo Vigotti from the International School of Italian Cuisine ALMA, who will reimagine typical Italian products into culinary masterpieces. On the 23rd, an event dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet will walk the audience through the nutritional and environmental benefits of the diet that is becoming more and more popular around the world. On the 24th, the event will focus on geographical origin on the quality and characteristics of products followed by showcase and taste. The 25th will conclude the week with an open day of the Embassy of Italy, opening the beautiful Gardens with Alpha Romeos on display, delicious food and live entertainment. Canberra Wines Laneway Festival at Tocumwal Lane, Civic- Friday 2324th November

Calling all lovers of wine! The Canberra Laneways Festival is hitting the streets to showcase the best of the Canberra district’s wine! The festival will bring music, a vibrant and family friendly atmosphere and over 15 of the region’s best wine over two nights from 5pm. Each evening will include a line-up of great local musical talent, delicious street food and the opportunity to sample and purchase local wine. 25th Annual Greek Film Festival at Palace Cinemas- Friday 23- 25th November

The Greek Film Festival is back! Sit back and enjoy a whole new array of films that are set to make you laugh or cry. The opening night kicks off with a film at 7pm, followed by an after-party with Canberra’s best Greek dancing performers and delicious food! On the 24th, NewActon’s wine market will celebrate Greek wine and spirits. Greek books and farm-direct fruit and veg are also available for sale. SouthFest at Lake Tuggeranong- Saturday 24th November

Calling everyone who is from the southside and proud, Southfest is kicking off this Saturday to celebrate the connected and vibrant community! Over 180 Canberra organisations have joined to showcase life in the Tuggernaong Valley. There will be free activities and entertainment on offer for everyone such as handmade markets, art, children’s activities, an inflatable park, a relaxation lounge and so much more! The event is from 11am- 6pm in the laneways, streets and lake foreshore of Tuggeranong Town Centre between Cowlishaw and Anketell Streets. Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation Fundraising Ball at Albert Hall- Saturday 24th November

The Stella Bella Little Stars foundation is hosting their annual fundraising ball at 7pm, and it’s set to be a magical night! This year the theme is ‘Neverland’, so dress is your best fairytale costumes in a magical setting- there’s even a ship set to sail! Each ticket will raise money to help support Canberra families with children who are battling long-term serious illness. Tickets are $160 for individuals and you can purchase at the event.

Christmas Tabling Styling Workshop at Canberra Centre- Saturday 24th November

Need decor inspiration this Christmas? Join cutting-edge designer Terri Winter for a Christmas Table setting workshop! From 11am, the design expert will share her top tips on design and decoration and teach guests three different settings for the perfect Christmas lunch or dinner. Canapes and drinks will be served, and guests will walk away with a Canberra Centre goody bag. Dance Central’s Kaleidoscope Performance at Calwell High School- Saturday 24th November

For those who love dance, this show is a must-see! Kaleidoscope unveils an array of talent, cultivated through Dance Central’s elite Eisteddfod Troupes and Hip-Hop Crew’s. This one-day show features a range of highly entertaining performances in Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Recognised for their versatility Dance Central’s elite performance crews travel Australia and the world to compete in the most renowned dance competitions.
