ACT CARS N COFFEE @ CANBERRA GREYHOUND TRACK – FRIDAY 19 

5 Beans and The Greyhound Club will have some food and drinks going, with DJ Mista Nige on the beats from 7pm to 10pm. There is a $5 entry per car which goes to event costs and Capital Muscular dystrophy upon entry. $1 from anything sold by the Greyhound club will also go towards the charity as well. Cashless entry will be available this time. No booking required.  

LIVE MUSIC @ THE RUC – THIS WEEKS ARTIST SPECIAL K – EVERY FRIDAY 

The RUC has live music from 7.30pm – 11pm every Friday night. Come into the Club and support local Canberra artists. This week’s artist is Special K. Their vast vault of hits spans five decades providing an impressive array of musical choice. Adding a splash of reggae, funk, soul and RnB has enhanced their status as one of Canberra’s most exciting bands. 

LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION – SATURDAY 20 

To celebrate Lunar New Year 2021, Grazier Lane in the Republic Precinct is coming to life with the vibrant sights, tastes and sounds of Asia! We warmly invite you to come and celebrate the Year of the Ox – a symbol of strength and positivity. 

Bring along your family and friends for a lively day of glowing lanterns, sizzling cultural food served up by local businesses, live music, lion dancing, kid’s activities, and much more.  The event runs from 10am to 4pm, no booking required.

PASSATA DAY – SATURDAY 20

Join us at The Link, Ginninderry for a group passata making day. Learn how simple it is to preserve your tomatoes to be enjoyed later in pastas, soups or as a pizza topping. Bring along a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid to take away your share of passata. Get inspired to get into preserving at home with our simple recipe included in the handout.

PHOTOACCESS OPEN DAY – SATURDAY 20 

Join us for the 2021 PhotoAccess Open Day, and discover what’s happening at the ACT and region’s centre for contemporary photography, film and video and media arts!  Explore VIEW2021, our current Huw Davies Gallery exhibition and meet some of our city’s most exciting early career artists as they talk about their works. Learn and see how our current artists-in-residence are experimenting with new photo-media practice, in the darkroom and the digital realm. 

Afterwards, you can relax in the beautiful Manuka Arts Centre gardens and enjoy live music and a barbeque lunch. The Open Day is free and there’s no need to book a ticket, just come along! The event runs from 12pm to 4pm. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

POP INN’S FOURTH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – SATURDAY 20 & SUNDAY 21
