Christmas in the Park – Saturday 12 December

Celebrate the opening of Ginninderry’s new Community Recreation Park by heading down and enjoying a range of food stalls, live music, Christmas craft and activities and a special screening of the Polar Express. Flix ‘n Dickson – Saturday 12 December

Take the whole family for a picnic and free movie at Dickson’s Post Office Courtyard. Kicking off at 6pm with entertainment from Lucy Sparkles and friends followed by a screening of Rise of the Guardians at 8pm. Christmas Gifts Workshop – Saturday 12 December

Cookies with Mrs Claus – Saturday 12 December

Mrs Claus is making a surprise visit to City Walk in Civic during 9:30am to 12:30pm and wants your kids to help her bake some delicious cookies. They will learn to decorate Santa’s favourite cookies and then later taste their creations and wash them down with a big glass of milk. Pilates in the Vineyard – Saturday 12 December

Underground Spirits Experience – Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 December

Get to know your local distillery and learn a little about Gin, with Underground Spirits Pop Up Urban Distillery Experience at the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. The team will take you through a 45-minute talk about their distillery, the history of Gin, the production process, the botanical flavours they use and how to make the best G&T. Christmas German Markets – Sunday 13 December

The very popular German Markets are back this Sunday at Harmonie German Club to celebrate Christmas! Get your hands on the usual German deli products, breads and cakes, wines and beer and handmade crafts. Then let the kids run wild and enjoy the jumping castle and a visit from Santa. Lightpainting Workshop – Sunday 13 December

Interesting in photography? Want to broaden your skills and learn something new? 50eight photography is hosting a light painting workshop at Canberra Nara Peace Park at 7:30-9:30pm where they will teach you to techniques of the bright art form. With your own camera you will be shown typical camera settings to create varying light sources and once your colourful photos are taken you will also be guided through and editing tutorial on photoshop and how to blend images. Xmas Sloth Painting at Boardwalk Bar & Nightclub – Sunday 13 December

Test your painting skills at Boardwalk Bar for a night of fun and most importantly to de-stress with their painting class. Carols by Candlelight Canberra – Sunday 13 December

Join the Woden Valley Youth Choir from 7:30pm as they sing your favourite Christmas Carols at Stage 88.
