UC Drive in Cinema – Friday 28th to Saturday 29th August

The UC Drive in Cinema is back for another 3 movie magic sessions over this coming weekend!
This time, we are super excited to announce that it is open to the public as well as the UC Community including a family friendly Saturday matinee session. Unlike other drive in cinema’s that use projectors, we use a full LED lit screen for the best viewing experience during the day and at night. The ultimate drive in cinema experience wouldn’t be complete without movie snacks! That is why we will have a candy bar selling all your movie favourites including popcorn, drinks, chocolate and chips.

Water Walks: Celebrating Canberra’s Hidden Creeks Exhibition – Saturday 29th August

Calling out all the creative nature lovers! Presented as part of the Where You Are Festival 2020, Water Walks will draw together sixty local photographers exploring and celebrating Canberra’s hidden waterways. Inspired by experienced local photographers and expert ecologists, historians and writers, during August 2020. Three groups have investigated, walked and documented often overlooked neighbourhood waterways. Using their cameras to record their experiences, the groups explored Weston, Jerrabomberra and Sullivan’s Creeks as these streams navigate the city via drains, wetlands and tunnels. On Saturday the 29th August the participating photographers will each contribute images to the Water Walks exhibition, with local writer and environmental historian Cameron Muir contributing a linking text narrative. Water Walks will open in the Manuka Arts Centre gardens on Saturday, 29 August, 2 – 5pm, with a simultaneous launch via Facebook of PhotoAccess’ online Water Walks gallery.
