Truffle Season at Sage Dining Rooms – Fri 14 June

Truffle season kicks off at Sage Dining Rooms! Sage has partnered with The Truffle Farm to bring a special 8-course menu for $120pp. Running until July 16, there is plenty of opportunity to taste some of Canberra’s best truffles. Sage runs a truffle degustation each year, it’s no secret the talented team know how to handle a truffle or two by now. Bookings recommended.

RNB Beyonce Tribute Night at Fiction Club – Fri 14 June

After a successful Drake Tribute event, Queen B is coming to grace Canberra’s newest nightclub all night long! They’ll be putting on visuals, lighting and production to the test so when you walk down the stairs to Fiction, there will be nothing but Beyonce vibes in the room! Doors open at 10pm with free entry before 11pm. Drink specials will be running from 10pm – 12am.

The Forage – Sat 15 June

The Forage is back for a winter edition and here to fill our hearts and bellies with hearty food and drinks. It will be full to the brim with Canberra’s best winter street food, beverages, mulled wine, warm ginger beer and entertainment. Grab your mates and your beanies (maybe a thermal or two) and come and fill your belly with all the things and chill out by the fire drums. Hosted at 1 Dairy Road, Fyshwick at 2pm – 7pm. Entry is free.

3km Beer Run to Capital Brewing + Forage Food Festival – Sat 15 June

Cardio is better knowing there’s a reward at the end – and in this case that comes in a local brew and burger form. Join for an easy paced 3km run to Capital Brewing and The Forage Food Festival. All fitness levels welcome! There will be heaps of beer, burgers, wine and other delicious stuff to put in your belly. Meet outside The Dock in Kingston at 1pm. The run go through the scenic Jerrabomberra Wetlands and end up at Capital Brewing in Fyshwick. They advise that you leave your car in Kingston and walk/run back after the event. This goes for Uber pickups as well.

A Pooch Affair 2019 – Sat 15 June

It’s the 5th birthday of A Pooch Affair and they sure know how to celebrate! At Exhibition Park between 10am – 1pm, an indoor boutique event will take place where all dogs are welcome. There will be dog merchandise, doggie day spa and diner, animal rescue and community groups, dog clubs, entertainment, presentations, demonstrations, join in activities, competitions, and loads of giveaways. Cost is $15 for adults and entry under 12 years is free. Dogs are by gold coin donation with proceeds going to their Charity Partner – RSPCA ACT. Find out all event activities here.

Truffle Degustation at Hotel Kurrajong – Sat 15 June

In partnership with local winery and truffle farmers, Hotel Kurrajong Canberra invites you to experience the unique flavours of truffle and perfectly blended wines at their first Truffle Degustation of the season. Over 5 courses you’ll taste and learn the story behind the produce and wine pairings. This event is in partnership with local winery and truffle partners including Long Rail Gully Wines and Macenmist Black Truffles. The event starts at 6pm. Tickets are $149.

Men’s Health Week: Mateship and Mentors – Sat 15 June

Blokepedia and The Dock invite you to join us for a special event as part of the Men’s Health Week celebrations at The Dock, Kingston. From 4.30pm, Ben Alexander, Terry Campese, and Pip Seldon will be part of a panel discussion to share some stories and talk about the good mates and mentors in their lives and why male role models are important for our younger generations.
