All people and pets who live around Wright and Coombs are invited to come down for an afternoon party to celebrate your neighbourhood and the animals that live in it. The Molonglo Valley Mingle are hosting an event with RSPCA at Dot Butler St in Wright for all pets and owners to unite! There will be fundraising opportunities available with all funds raised on the day will support the RSPCA. There will be live music, coffee and food vans and a pop up bar.

World Environment Tree Planting Day – Sun 2 June
Join Molonglo Conservation Group, Jerrabomberra, Googong and Queanbeyan Landcare Groups plant trees for world environment day. The plantings will form part of a project to plant 10 000 trees and shrubs to restore woodlands and provide habitat for threatened species in Jerrabomberra and Googong. Simply bring along a hat, gardening gloves, long sleeves, long pants, sturdy boots and water and you’re set! A barbeque lunch and refreshments will be provided as well as tools, equipment and instruction will be provided. Access to the planting site and parking is the last right turn of old Cooma Road from Queanbeyan before the entrance into Googong. See a map here.
