Canberra City Walk Night Market – Fri 3 – 5 May

Brand new to the Canberra Centre Market, the Muse Asian Fest Night Market brings your favorite Asian street eats to Canberra’s most iconic sheds for an exclusive 3-day festival beginning 3rd May! On the menu, you can expect to see Shanghai Dumplings, Korean BBQ, Japanese Cuisine, Thai & Malaysian Street food and so much more! Enjoy over 30 food and retail stalls, plus live entertainment from our open-air Cinema, live shows and parade and Canberra-inspired bars. There’ll even be delightfully magic show, kite & dumpling-making, as well as Karaoke singing competition celebrating all things for those looking for a boogie. Star Wars Trivia at Limelight Cinemas – Sat 4 May

Thing you’re a diehard Star Wars fan? May the fourth be with you! Challenge yourself at Limelight Cinemas with harder questions and much more material, prove to your family and friends who the real Jedi Master is, as you put your STAR WARS knowledge to the ultimate test. BlocHaus 2nd Birthday – 90’s Pump Party – Sat 4 May

BlocHaus is turning two! Get your fluros ready, it’s a 90’s pump fest! They’ll have your favourite 90’s tunes, fashions, games and more! Plus you’ll have 3 hours to climb your heart out and go in for the win with their points system! Head over to their website to sign up for your category. High Tea for Motherless Daughters – Sun 5 May

Mantra MacArthur Hotel is hosting a very special event for a pre Mother’s Day High Tea to unite women who are without a mother this Mother’s Day. It will be a lovely way to honour mum while meeting other women who are in the same shoes and who understand the feelings associated with mother loss, especially around Mother’s Day. Cinco De Mayo at Hopscotch – Sun 5 May

It’s fiesta time! Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. Hopscotch have decided to bring the celebrations to Braddon! They will have tequila specials, $10 margaritas and 50c wings, and will be running a 1800 Tequila promotional scratch and win competition with prizes up for grabs!

Collector Village Pumpkin Festival 2019 – Sunday 5 May

Love pumpkins? Why not celebrate them! The 16th annual Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is here on Sunday 5 May. There will be stalls, competitions and so much more! Join from 10am – 4pm at Bourke St, Collector NSW. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Seniors, and Kids under 15 are FREE!

Heart Foundation Special Jogalong – Sunday 5 May

Did you know that almost three times as many women die of heart disease than of breast cancer and that women are more likely to die within one year of their first heart attack than men, regardless of age? However, many women think heart disease is a male health issue, and are not aware of the symptoms of a heart attack or what to do if they think they are having one. Come along to the Jogalong and find out from the Heart Foundation staff what women need to know about heart disease. The usual Jogalong events will be on offer – 1.6km Minijog for kids, 3km run and 6km handicap for women and girls. For more details visit their website.
