Belconnen Magpies Charity Race Day at Thoroughbred Park – Fri 26 April

Enjoy a great afternoon of horse racing in the nation’s capital on one of the best tracks in the country at Thoroughbred Park. Book a table in the members-only Black Opal Room or enjoy superb bar facilities in the Winning Post Bar (open to the public on non-feature race days). History High Tea at Hotel Kurrajong – Fri 26 April

In conjunction with The Canberra and Region Heritage Festival, Hotel Kurrajong are putting on a delicious spread. Uncover the rich history of Hotel Kurrajong with Elizabeth Burness as she takes you back in time while enjoying high tea and bubbles. Elizabeth Burness transports you back to Canberra in the early 1900’s as you follow the life of a young lass; Bette and her quest to find love in the Nation’s Capital. Foodie Kids Crafts at Gungahlin Marketplace – Fri 26 April

The school holidays are coming to an end and that means the Gungahlin Marketplace school holidays activities are too. Make sure to hop on over on Friday for the last Foodie kids craft day! There’s cupcake decorating and pasta play because who says kids can’t play with food? Kids crafts are from 10am – 1pm.

ACT Jam at Bentspoke – Sat 27 April

BentSpoke Brewing Co. are bringing the noise, officially presenting the ACT JAM with a major sponsorship for 2019. If you’ve been to ACT JAM before, you already know how good it is. But if you haven’t – strap yourself in for three days of the best BMX you can handle, with some epic times in between.  There’ll be bands, food trucks and a few more surprises. Country Rocks the Capital – Sat 27 April

Country Rocks is excited to announce their very first event in the Capital. Rose Cottage Canberra will be hosting a massive line up of Country Rocks artists. Headlining the event Country Rocker’s Brewn, 2018 Toyota Star Maker winner Brad Cox and 2017 Toyota Star Maker winner Rachael Fahim. Following these artists the Johnny Cash Show staring Jason Webb & Alicia Maree, Tash Aileen, 2018 Country Rocks Spotlight artist Kora Naughton and 2019 Country Rocks Spotlight artist Stewart Barton. Gates open 2pm and music is non stop until 10pm. You will also enjoy the beautiful Australian Heritage listed Rose Cottage and grounds. Beerfest at Hermonie German Club – Sat 27 April

The Harmonie German Club is proud to celebrate the 503nd year Anniversary of the introduction of Duke Wilhelm IV, Purity laws. Known in German by the verbal mouthful “das Reinheitsgebot”, one of the world’s oldest food safety laws limited the ingredients of the amber brew to just water, barley and hops, although yeast was later added to the approved list. The auditorium will be transformed into a German beir hall style party! Traditional German street food available and of course traditional beverages including fully imported German Beer.
