Enlighten Illuminations Fri 1st – Sun 3rd March

See the Parliamentary Triangle come to life after dark. Witness thought provoking and moving large-scale projections on Australian Parliament House, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Library of Australia, the Museum of Australian Democracy, the National Gallery of Australia and Questacon. The Illuminations have been extended to 11 nights to provide the perfect backdrop for the Canberra Day celebrations. Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle and satellite venues will be transformed into vibrant arts precincts, showcasing Australian talent, amazing roving artists, live bands and enchanting performances. Plus, enjoy late night openings at many iconic national attractions. Illuminations are from 8- 10pm every night and 8pm- midnight on Fridays & Saturdays.

Canberra Night Noodle Markets – Fri 1st – Sun 3rd March

As the Illuminations light up iconic attractions around the Parliamentary Triangle, visitors can tuck into authentic Asian eats. This 10-day market extravaganza features foodies including Hoy Pinoy, Chur Burger, Churken, Shallot Thai, Mr Bao, Bangkok Street Food, What the Pho, Bao Brothers, May’s Malaysian Hawker, Twistto, Flying Noodles, Little Kyoto, Waffleland, Wok Master, Satay Brothers, Donburi Station and many more. Get your feed at Reconciliation Place from 4pm – 10.30pm all weekend long.

A Tribute to the Music of Celine Dion at Lanyon Vikings – Sat 2nd March

Near, far, wherever you are… get down to Lanyon Vikings for A Tribute to the Music of Celine Dion. Join for a dinner and a show of all Celine’s biggest hits; The Power of Love, My Heart Will Go On, All By Myself, River Deep Mountain High, I Drove All Night, That’s The Way It Is and many more. One Day in the Capital – Block Party – Sat 2nd Mar

Australia’s biggest hip hop day party is coming to Canberra for a huge outdoor event at Capital Brewery in Fyshwick: One Day in the Capital. One Day in the Capital is a celebration of Canberra’ thriving music, arts and hospo scenes, with live music, DJs, live art, food trucks, and, of course, plenty of ice cold beers – and it’s only $5 entry on the door! Chill-out in the sun during the day from 11.30am and kick on into the night with the ultimate one day event!

Passata Day – Sat 2nd Mar

Join in Acton Community Garden at Canberra Environment Centre for a group passata making day. Learn how simple it is to preserve your tomatoes to be enjoyed later in pastas, soups or as a pizza topping. Bring along a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid to take away your share of passata. Get inspired to get into preserving at home with a simple recipe included in the handout. Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival – Sun 3rd March

Can’t get enough of all things multicultural? The Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival is back for the 12th year in a row!
