Enlighten Festival – Friday 4 to Sunday 6 March

Lighting up Canberra every March, the Enlighten Festival is back for 17 days of arts and cultural events and entertainment. From the popular Night Noodle Markets, Canberra iconic buildings lighting up as part of Canberra After Dark and the Canberra Contemporary Arts Space, there is plenty family-friendly events happening this weekend. Night Noodle Markets – Friday 4 to Sunday 6 March

Canberra’s most iconic foodie event is returning to the city this month for ten nights of drool-worthy Asian street food. Taking place on Friday 25 February to Sunday 6 March 2022, The Canberra Times Night Noodle Markets will this year see Parkes Place West Lawns transform into a vibrant Asian street food festival, where hawker-style stalls will be serving up unbelievably tasty dishes and bites. Shakespeare Down the Pub at Verity Lane – Saturday 5 March

Theatre company Lakespeare is doing one last performance of the sold-out pub version of their summer show Shakespeare As You Like It at Verity Lane Market. The show will include no props, no costumers, lots of improv and audience interaction with original music by Jay Cameron. Kicking off at 7pm, head on in early for a delicious bite from one of Verity’s vendors, before heading upstairs to the Louie Louie bar to watch the show. Grab your tickets here.

QT Sky High Tea – Saturday 5 March

Set amongst beautiful views of Canberra at QT’s 15th floor Lounge, join them for a high tea experience. Featuring a beautiful array of dishes including prawn and spinach loaf, goats cheese and pea mini tarts, dark chocolate mousse, mojito cheesecake and a welcome beverage on arrival, this is decadence at its best. 10 Yards Aranda Garden Dinner – Saturday 5 March

Join Two Before Ten’s 10 Yards bar at Aranda for a delicious 5-course degustation dinner, featuring produce from their garden. Starting with a tour of the gardens and mushroom rooms, later sit back and enjoy as the chefs and gardeners talk you through what you’re eating and answer any garden questions. Featuring summer produce, Glenryan Grazing regeneratively farmed beef and Canberra regional wines, the intimate dinner will be held around the Urban Farm long table with limited tickets available. Marble and Grain Lunch with a National Gallery Curator – Saturday 5 March

Wine and dine with an exquisite three-course lunch and matching wines from steakhouse Marble and Grain, and hear from the curator of the Jeffrey Smart exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia. Tea Art Workshop – Saturday 5 March

Join Tea Connoisseur in Civic for a Tea Art workshop hosted by one of their tea sommeliers. Tea Art will present you with an instructive and interactive approach to learning the fundamentals of the world’s second most consumed beverage. During the 90-minute class, while you taste six single-origin teas, look at the origins of Camellia sinensis, the major producing countries, the main varieties and the various processing techniques. ABC’s hilarious quiz show Hard Quiz with Tom Gleeson is hitting the road for an all-new stage show. Local employees from McDonald’s Molonglo Valley, Weston and Manuka are removing rubbish and cleaning up local areas for Clean Up Day Australia, and they want your help!
