FLORIADE NIGHTFEST- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2
This year Floriade’s annual NightFest has been transformed into a gastronomical tour of Canberra with restaurants and eateries all over the city creating bespoke menus for one night only. Diners can enjoy the Spring-inspired menu’s alongside a specifically curated Spotify playlist featuring music from NightFest past performers. FURY FRIDAY’S AT DENDY – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2
Unleash your inner motorhead as Dendy showcases Mad Max: Fury Road every Friday this October. Set in the post-apocalyptic future, warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) escapes the citadels tyrannical dictator with his five enslaved wives. Forging an alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) the duo lead a high-speed chase across the Wasteland desert to escape. Tickets available here.
MUSIC ON THE GREENS- OCTOBER 3-4
Live and free, music on the greens from the Kambri Precinct at ANU is hosting a range of musicians every weekend for live music lovers. DJ’s are spinning tracks on Saturday’s between 12- 2, and on Sunday’s acoustic artists take over from 1-3. Enjoy a bite to eat with Kambri’s extensive offerings and enjoy the Spring weather outdoors. OUT OF THIS WORLD: AUSTRALIA IN THE SPACE AGE- ALL WEEKEND
This weekend marks the beginning of the National Archives exhibition examining Australia’s fascination with the Space age. From the 50’s through to the 70’s see how architecture, film, design, fashion, pop culture and music were all influenced by our first forays into the unknown.
