Music on the screens at Kambri

From 17 July, Kambri at ANU is launching Music on the Screens, an exciting series of virtual music events that is sure to take Friday nights to new heights. Streaming free via Facebook from the incredible Manning Clark Hall, dance music aficionados will be treated to a series of party sets from ANU student DJs, singer/songwriters and bands filmed on stage with decks, lighting and an audio-visual show. The series will include three distinct nights across an eclectic mix of genres:  The Friday Funk (17 Jul), Techno-ly The Weekend (24 Jul) and ANUSA Friday Night Party 2: Return of the Party (31 Jul).

CoVideo Virtual Gigfest Hosted by Recruitment Hive

Canberra artist and former The Voice contestant Vendulka is set to headline a virtual video

festival designed to support local musicians who have lost their livelihoods since the onset of the Covid pandemic. From Thursday 16 July, Canberrans can logon to the online festival and check out Canberra talent like The Australian Voice Collective and the Progetti Chamber Choir. The inaugural Canberra 2020 COVIDEO Virtual Gigfest is the brainchild of local business owner and aspiring musician Ben Ashman who wanted to show his support for local artists and help raise their profile. The Canberra 2020 COVIDEO Virtual Gigfest will be hosted and promoted on Recruitment Hive’s website at recruitmenthive.com.au/virtualgigfest and on their Facebook page.

Live In Ya Loung Room

Local business Event AV Services (EAVS) launched live streaming gigs in Canberra called ‘Live in ya lounge room a few months ago now. It works on a “donate” model, whereby it was free to view, with requests for donation. With an impressive tune in rate the team have multiple national and local acts lined up all eager to entertain you from your lounge room each week. EAVS have partnered with Venues ACT and have secured a semi-permanent venue space to setup a live broadcast, full production area for the ultimate gig experience in your home.
