Virtual Teen Takeover at NGA – Friday 22 May.
In the absence of a physical Gallery, creative teens in isolation will be able to login to the National Gallery of Australia from home for a virtual takeover this Friday 22 May. From creating simple face filters to virtual portraiture workshops, the National Gallery invites teens online for an evening of art, music, making and more for the Art IRL: Virtual Teen Takeover.
The digital iteration of the Art IRL: Teen Takeover has been produced by teens, for teens and will be hosted live across Instagram and other web-based platforms. All the creative teens at home need is a laptop, smartphone and internet connection to join the one-hour long online art labs, which will be accompanied by a line-up of young musicians who will be performing live on Instagram throughout the event.
