If you haven’t visited Australia’s first pop-up shipping container village, now’s the time to go. Westside Village is a market square precinct made entirely of shipping containers, full of incredible local food and drink vendors, among a stunning backdrop of Lake Burley Griffin.
It was created for Canberrans to come together and enjoy diverse cultural events, and over the next couple of weekends, you can get involved in all the fun with Westside holding a number of exciting events for families.
Friday 25 – Sunday 27 Nov
This weekend, you’re in for three days of family fun with the Westside Village Carnival. Enjoy some amusement rides from Flaherty Family Amusements including the Alien fighter aka Rocket, kids ferris wheel, giant jumping castles, Fun Factory and Shockwave, and get your hands on some amazing street food and fairy floss. From noodles to ice-cream, Westside’s got it all, and if you’re feeling adventurous, jump on some rides with the kids!
Sunday 4 Dec
Nerf Arena is back, Canberra. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in with the Nerf blasters and darts supplied. If you’re not a Nerf fanatic, there will also be a range of other free activities like face painting and balloon modelling.
So keep your next few weekends free and look forward to Sundays full of family fun at Westside Village.
