Electronic dance band Art vs. Science are headlining a free concert in Canberra on New Year’s Eve.

The all-ages Canberra New Year’s Eve in the City event will be held at Civic Square starting from 7pm and running to midnight.

Joining Art vs. Science will be local band Brass Knuckle Brass Band and Canberra-born Harry Carman, who has been compared to the likes of Jack Johnson and Ed Sheeran.

With a full line-up of family entertainment to keep everyone occupied, families can feast on the very best local food trucks, including Indian street food Tikka Stand, Canberra favourite Jacko’s Pizza, Potato Swirls, Pure Gelato and Shotclock Espresso.

Just over the road, Garema Place will be home to Bass in the Place, an all-ages and free high-energy dance party with an expertly-curated lineup. Featuring one of Australia’s top DJs, Ember (of Ministry of Sound fame) will bring the beats and turn heads with his dance-inducing sets, along with Canberra’s very own Blanke, DJ Clique and Peter Kiemann.
