Attention all our foodies! The Multicultural Festival and Enlighten are done and dusted for the year and you’ve been left with a hole in your heart… belly. If you’re keen to keep the ball rolling and get out for another food event, we’ve got you covered!

After a disappointing end to 2016 due to a weather washout, organisers of The Forage markets have come back swinging in 2017. Market stalls and vendors are back in April for an autumn event filled with food, music and entertainment. Discover local food and beverage vendors from cafés, food vans, wineries and breweries from across the ACT.

Kicking off at 2pm, the market is the perfect place for a late lunch or dinner amongst other Canberra food fanatics. No matter what your taste buds are feeling, the vendors at The Forage will satisfy your appetite.

Held only four times a year, each market day is influenced by the season and this April they’re all about the warm and comfort of autumn. Having started in 2014, this collection of events is aimed to bring Canberrans out into the open for a day of fun and festivities.

Food vendors include Uncle Juan’s Bakehouse, Loose Gourmet Churros, Sweet Bones Bakery Cafe, Bombolini, Enigma Fine Chocolates and Jasper and Myrtle Chocolates. Mr. Papa and Papa Laci – The Lángos Man, will also be making an appearance, as well as Pialligo Estate smokehouse who is sure to be serving up all sorts of tasty cuts throughout the day.

Wine from The Pop Inn will be pouring throughout the day, along with a variety of other alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages.

The Forage is an event that likes to showcase local produce, however, vendors are not limited to the Canberra region. Every now and then out-of-state visitors make an appearance at the markets to spice things up a little, so you never know what to expect!

Parking is available within Little National Hotel for people visiting the event, then it’s just a short walk down to the markets.

With all of this on offer, we can’t wait to get down to the Little National Hotel and get our hands on these market day delights.
