Don’t miss the fun, Santa’s sleigh has come crashing into the Canberra Centre red hot for the silly season.

For the first time in almost a decade, Santa is returning for family photo’s available until Christmas Eve when Santa has to sneak off and get delivering pressies. Make sure you get along and let him know what’s on your wish list – he may even ask you if you’ve been naughty or nice. Find him sitting within his Enchanted Garden, located at the City Walk entrance, it’s the perfect backdrop for your Santa pic. You’ll feel the magic of this season with all the impressive Christmas displays on show at the Canberra Centre.

Take the kids, hurdle the family together, book your work team in or gather your girlfriends – you are never too old to sit on Santa’s lap. An online booking system is also available for those wanting to fast track the queue, making your Santa experience quick, easy and family-friendly.

In addition to Santa’s return, Canberra Centre is planning plenty of other fun for kids of all ages throughout the Christmas period. As part of festivities planned for Canberra’s CBD, Canberra Centre have worked closely with the City Renewal Authority on plans to enliven the centre of Canberra to celebrate the festive season, including the wonderful new ‘Merry & Bright – Christmas in Civic’ event.

Don’t only treat the kids this time of year, Canberra Centre has back-to-back weekends of workshops to excite and educate. Saturday 24 November join top3 by design’s Terri Winter for a Christmas Table Setting Workshop at Canberra Centre. From 11:00am, the business owner and design expert will share her top tips on design and decoration and will teach guests three different table settings for the perfect Christmas lunch or dinner. Canapes and drinks will be served, and guests will walk away with a Canberra Centre goody bag.

Sunday 2 December, Canberra Centre welcomes back Kyla Kirkpatrick – The Champagne Dame – for a not-to-miss masterclass pairing champagne and perfume. Kyla will explore the art and science behind the power of scent, and the link between champagne and perfume in a two-hour session, from 11:00am–1:00pm. This event is a decadent sensory experience, and guests will get to take home a Canberra Centre goody bag.

With all this fun going on the centre have extended opening hours from Saturday 8 December until Christmas Eve for the convenience of Christmas shoppers. Get all your Xmas wrapping done ready to sparkle under the tree at the gift-wrapping bar for a gold coin donation with all proceeds going toward Red Nose.
