Motherhood is all-consuming, but often isolating and overwhelming, especially in the early years. That’s why The Lawns National Triangle is inviting mothers to take a beat, pour a coffee, and reconnect with themselves at Reworking Motherhood, a new Friday breakfast series.
Held at Rosa’s on selected Friday mornings from 22 August to 7 November, this six-part series is designed to uplift, empower, and support women navigating motherhood. Created by Amber Maddigan – mum of three and Director of Marketing & Events at The Lawns – Reworking Motherhood is equal parts self-care and self-discovery.
“Motherhood can be incredibly isolating,” says Amber. “I created this series to give women a space to feel seen and heard, to connect with others, and have conversations that go beyond sleep routines and school lunches.”
Each session brings together a lineup of Canberra’s leading women in business, all of whom are mothers themselves, to talk about the things that often get lost in the noise of parenting: identity, body image, career, nutrition, skin health, and what real self-care actually looks like.
Whether it’s rediscovering personal style, navigating the return to work, or healing post-baby bodies and skin, Reworking Motherhood invites expert voices into the room – not through a screen, inbox, or clinic appointment, but over coffee and conversation.
The speaker lineup includes:
- 22 August: Beyond Bubble Baths: Real Self-Care for Busy Mums with Kerry Solomon – women’s worthiness coach and retreat facilitator specialists.
- 5 September: Postnatal Rehab: Rebuilding from the Inside Out with Julia & Juanita from Grow Women’s Health – physiotherapists and pelvic floor
- 19 September: Returning to Work After a Break or Career Change with RaQy Sgroi – career strategist, entrepreneur, and award-winning inclusive leader.
- 10 October: Effortless Style in the Chaos of Motherhood with Kimberley Hunt – fashion stylist and personal style coach.
- 24 October: Nourishing You While You Nourish Them with Sharon Bull from Sound CBR – women’s health dietitian and mum of three.
- 7 November: Skin Deep – Hormones, Healing and Post-Baby Skin Health with Sally Grant
Tickets are $40 per session and include a nourishing breakfast, bottomless barista coffee, a 30-minute speaker session, and time for real conversation. Whether you come to one or attend the full series, each talk is theme-led but free of fluff and designed to offer honest, practical advice and a sense of community.
Tickets available now via Eventbrite – spots are limited.
