There’s nothing better than sourcing fresh produce from our local region to fill your pantry and fruit bowls. The Capital Region Farmers Market offers freshly picked, grown and handcrafted produce that supports our local producers and businesses in the area. Stallholders will often offer friendly advice, plus tips and tricks of how to store and utilise your produce for the best results.

Farmers and Foodies Market

Hating the long queues at the supermarket after work? Finding that your local is always out of the produce you want? The newest addition in 2016 to the Canberra market repertoire: the Farmers and Foodies Market is designed so that people can swing by to get their food shopping done after work. Alternatively, what a better way to spend your Friday night then by grabbing a bite to eat, enjoying a glass of wine with the live music or taking a walk down by the foreshore at sunset.

Fash n Treasure

Looking for a new dress, replacing your old shoes or trying to find that statement necklace? Fash n Treasure is your one-stop market for all things fashion and style. This event brings together local designers, fashion shops, milliners, stylists and the like around once a month to showcase their designs, and let us visitors indulge in a shopping trip! Everything from clothes, shoes, bags, hats and accessories are on offer, so your wardrobe and outfits will be complete from head to toe.

Honkytonks Night Markets

The seasonal markets offered by Honkytonks captures the vibrancy of art and culture in the nation’s capital. Soft fairy lights guide you to the small marquee outsides Honkytonks which hosts a niche variety of Canberra-based locals, such as Yellow Canary clothing with its retro vintage finds, local jewellery, records and handcrafted items. A relaxed atmosphere ensues as you browse the stalls with a warm glass of mulled wine nestled in your hands!

Old Bus Depot Markets

This award-winning indoor market is the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday. The Old Bus Depot hosts around 200 stalls weekly with such an amazing variety from regional art, handcrafted goodies, gourmet foods & drinks, regional wines, coffee, jewellery (the list could go on forever!). Located in the heart of Kingston, with loads of parking and delicious food to satisfy your mid-morning hunger!

Hartley Markets

The weekly Hartley Markets not only support a local charity but also promote a friendly atmosphere with great bargains to be found in fresh produce, furniture, plants, delicious food, clothing, handcrafted items and much more. Set in such a picturesque outdoor location with live music, barbeques and entertainment, Hartley is a great idea for a family day out or a weekend adventure.

Hustle & Scout

The ultimate hipster market is set against a twilight backdrop a few times a year with an urban eccentric mix of food, drinks, fashion, vintage and handcrafted goods. This one is hands down my favourite market to go to because of its kooky, fun vibe and the eclectic mix of Australian designed/made stalls. The experience is immersive and I can guarantee you will struggle to leave empty handed!

Night Market Canberra

If you can brave the cold, or bask in the summer sunshine, then Canberra’s largest outdoor night market is another seasonal event for you.
