Homes across Canberra just got a little more ‘on-trend’ as iconic contemporary retailer, Matt Blatt opens its doors in Fyshwick.
Set to become the city’s go-to destination for everything design and décor, Matt Blatt’s Fyshwick showroom will hosts an eclectic range of designer furniture, lighting and homewares. The store will be lead by General Manager Joel Drexler who believes that the retail store will be a welcome addition in the Canberra community.
“Our Canberra customers have been asking for a physical store to complement our online offering for some time now, and we can’t wait to offer the city’s style-savvy furniture fans the opportunity to experience Matt Blatt in person,” he says.
“As you’d expect, the Fyshwick showroom will be packed with all of our best-selling furniture and lighting favourites, quirky homewares and unconventional accessories, with new stock and innovative designs arriving regularly,” adds Drexler.
Fyshwick will be the ninth store for the expanding family-owned and operated business, which has undergone significant expansion in the past 12 months, including successful inaugural stores in Adelaide and Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, as well as the recent addition of stores in Fitzroy and Balmain in inner Melbourne and Sydney.
“In a challenging retail market, we’re excited to continue expanding into select locations where we feel there’s strong demand for our diverse blend of original contemporary designs, superb-quality replica favourites, outdoor furniture pieces and novel accessories which are equally at home in an urban apartment, warehouse, office or family home.”
Matt Blatt’s new Canberra home will be at 76 Wollongong St, Fyshwick. The showroom opened its doors to the public on Friday 21st October 2016, with a Grand Opening to follow shortly.
