The Ugliest Duckling at Q Theatre

During the winter school holidays the Q Theatre in Queanbeyan will be presenting The Ugliest Duckling by the talented team from Joan Sutherland Performing Art Centre. From Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 of July take your kids to watch the heart-warming tale, featuring circus, movement, colour and focusing on resilience, transformation, joy and the celebration of being different.

Minions Dance Party

Come along to the Gungahlin Marketplace and dance with your favourite characters from Despicable Me. Have your chance to meet and greet with Gru, Mel and the minions and watch them have a dance party on stage. Best of all the event is free, so it is the perfect chance for your kids to burn off some energy these school holidays.

Family Flicks and Arts and Crafts

Event Cinemas are determined to make the winter school holidays jam packed with fun events. Take your kids to a screening at the cinema anytime during the school holidays to watch Secret Life of Pets 2, Toy Story 4, the new adaptation of The Lion King and Spider-Man: Far From Home. To compliment these screenings there are free art activities to get involved with, including bookmarks, hats, masks and more, all themed to the family movies that are currently screening.

All About Craft

 During all of week two of the winter school holidays the Gungahlin Marketplace is hosting a free craft event. There is a new craft activity each day to get involved with, including bug magnet weaving, wind chimes, kaleidoscope, sand tables and collage making. Then on Saturday and Sunday the centre has superheros, cowboys and dinosaurs visiting, so bring your kids to meet and take a photo with their favourite characters.

Kids Market

Have a chance to sell your loved but no longer needed kids winter clothing, or find pre loved goodies to buy at Exhibition Park! You can apply to sell on their website or if you’re just interested in finding bargains on 0-12 year old clothing and accessories such as toys, strollers, car seats and party supplies stop by and have a walk around their many stalls.
