As we brace the cooler climate and settle into another cold Canberra winter, OutInCanberra is getting excited for another delicious truffle season! Between June and August every year, Canberra’s doorstep turns into a foodie haven of the rare and aromatic black truffles, and we want everyone to get their taste.

Straight from the oak of hazelnut trees of various farms around ACT and southern NSW, the prized gems are grown, harvested and sent to Canberra’s restaurants. Where they are then grated or sliced into signature dishes, menus, cooking classes and chef demonstrations.

If you’re a truffle advocate or are yet to taste what all the fuss is about, join us on our Canberra Truffle Trail around the city in partnership with the Canberra Truffle Festival as we showcase the mouth-watering dishes that you NEED to try.

Whether it be truffle pizza from Joe’s Bar, truffled ravioli from Brunello or char sui pork with truffle from Wilma, find the dish that tickles your fancy and try it before it’s gone. Then as we get deep into truffle season, keep a look out as our socials and website turn into a truffle celebration and more venues jump on our trail!

If you’re a venue that is introducing truffle into your menu, big or small, we want to hear about it! Registrations are open.

So check out The Canberra Truffle Trail and get your truffle fix this winter.
