This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #choosetochallenge and will be shared with discussions around gender equality from some of the most inspirational women around the world. With many inspiring women living in Australia, some even from, or coming to Canberra this is the perfect opportunity to become more informed and network with other like-minded people

Canberra Labor Club – Thursday 11 March

Join the Canberra Labor Club in Belconnen for a 3-course dinner with drinks from 6pm and have the discussion about a gender equal world with inspiration guest speakers that choose to challenge the world we live in. Some speakers to look forward to include, Labor member for Ginninderra, Tara Cheyne, award-winning social justice journalist and author, Ginger Gorman and founder of Roundabout Canberra Hannah Andrevski. UN Women Australia @ The National Convention Centre – Friday 5 March

This year UN Women Australia has announced the 2021 Australian of the Year, Grace Tame as the keynote speaker at their International Women’s Day celebrations. Running their own 2021 theme of #womenlead to highlight women in leadership, guests will hear incredible stories from women who inspire, lead and are committed to making a difference. The events will be presented as a nationwide lunch with Grace appearing in Sydney via life-stream across the country. Additionally, the entire event will also be available via a virtual platform, allowing guests to view a diverse range of speakers from all capital cities. Joining Canberra at 12:45pm will be CEO Australian Indigenous Governance institute, Michelle Deshong, and Australia’s Ambassador for Gender Equality, Julie-Ann Guivarra. Tickets are available here.

Canberra Multicultural Women’s Forum @ QT Hotel – Saturday 27 February
