In a yearly bid to get us all out of the house during Canberra’s cool winter, Winter In The City Fire and Ice is returning this weekend.
From the famous outdoor ice skating, snow play, captivating fire performance and a range of activations from local businesses, the CBD will once again be transformed into a magical winter wonderland.
From Saturday 6 to Sunday 21 July, lace up your skates, wander through real snow and slide down toboggans at Wonder in the Park. Held in Glebe Park, explore market stalls with winter food and drink, and toast marshmallows over an open fire.
Then, catch fire dances light up the sky every night at 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm with a fire performance in Garema Place.
With a number of businesses joining in the festivities, explore a range of exclusive winter offers and activations in the city including hot buttered rum from Paloma’s, a Fire + Ice menu package at Inka, kids eat free at Assembly, and more!
