It’s a testament to just how good they are! Even through the toughest times the hospitality industry has ever faced Grease Monkey sticks to schedule launching on the North Side.

As of next week, Grease Monkey will be available from their Food Truck in Woden, their HQ in Braddon and their new establishment at The Laneway, Marketplace Gungahlin.

For those in the area who have exhausted most takeaway and delivery options, get ready for Tuesday 28 April when the Gungahlin Marketplace venue lights up the grill and starts flippin’ patties.

From 11am Grease Monkey will be offering takeaway and delivery at first, until restrictions are lifted and local can get down to the new venue and check it out in person. For now, the community is just grateful all our favourite burgers, fried chicken and Detroit-style pizza are in reach. While restrictions are in place, you can take way six-packs of beer with your burgers and pizza.

“We know it’s a tough time at the moment for everyone in Canberra, but we’ve been blown away by the support we’ve been getting in Braddon and for our food truck in Woden,” said GM’s managing director, Nick Tuckwell.

“Without this support from our town, we wouldn’t be able to open the doors on our new venue and we’re hoping Gungahlin gets behind us as well.”

As far as the menu goes, expect more of the same delicious American-style food, with a great selection of local and international beers and wine. While restrictions are in place, you can take away six-packs of beer with your burgers and pizza.

The decision to open despite Covid-19 restrictions was made to create more jobs.

Gungahlin, get ready. It’s about to get a whole lot greasier.
