You’ll need to reserve a whole weekend this summer to experience Campbell’s exciting new cafés and bars. Tucked behind the ASIO building, on Constitution Avenue, Campbell has seen three exciting new arrivals this year; Teddy Picker’s, The Pedlar and Avenue C Wine Co, which have begun to transform this stark area into an energetic and lively precinct.

Canberrans are welcoming Campbell’s exciting growth and look forward to what’s in store for the area over the next few years. The residential suburb is centrally located, conveniently close to the city, while still having an appealing quiet and private touch with a leafy green outlook.

Plus, the future development of Campbell 5, a 1685 square metre residential development, will only add to this bustling avenue.

Teddy Picker’s

Perfect for a relaxed breakfast or lunch to ring in the weekend, Teddy Picker’s serves up a delicious menu with simple, fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

The minimalistic loft space looks like it’s come straight out of New York, with comfy lounges, a vinyl collection and record player upstairs – an ideal space to unwind with a coffee in hand. The shop features charming eclectic knick-knacks that line its shelves and concrete walls.

Our top pick off the menu is the Greens with asparagus, broccolini, peas, broad beans, mint, almonds, buttermilk, brown butter crème fraiche and rye. Not to mention it’s all-day breakfast too, winning!

The Pedlar

The second arrival to Constitution Avenue is The Pedlar – Campbell’s very first local pub. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, it’s sure to be the new go-to for nearby residents.

The Pedlar offers a range of quality pub classics including the Cheeseburger, Chicken Schnitzel and a 250g Scotch Fillet with fries, as well as some more curious and unusual dishes such as Crispy Prawn Dumplings and Smoked Trout Betel Leaves.

With a sensational wine list, craft and tap beers and creative cocktails to accompany it’s exciting menu, The Pedlar is the perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon or a cosy evening with live music.

Avenue C Wine Co.

Right next door is Avenue C Wine Co, an independent fine wine retailer and bar with wonderful wines from small producers all around the world.

Peruse the shelves for something to take home or buy the bottle and sit down to drink it with an accompanying plate of charcuterie.

The wine bar brings a European approach to eating and drinking and maintains a perfect balance of beautiful tapas and wine, boasting a wonderful cheese selection and delicious nibbles.

With so many options at such a convenient proximity from one another, why not spend an entire summer’s day at Campbell for brunch at Teddy Picker’s, dinner at The Pedlar and drinks at Avenue C Wine Co that last well into the night.
