While their doors have been closed, the team at First Edition have been busy creating a completely new menu that continues to pay homage to local, authentic and sustainable culinary experiences.
Now open, ready to serve hungry Canberrans, they have also launched a weekly Saturday high tea, ‘Our Shout’ after work drinks and takeaway gourmet picnic hampers.
New Menu
Director of Culinary Services Pete Jenkins and Head Chef Jaime McGahey have handcrafted their new menu with flavours and techniques they know locals and visitors will love. Keeping their signature dishes such as the Canberra Tableland and Harvest share boards, new additions such as duck and shiraz pate, truffled brie sliders to share with friends, and hero items such as slow cooked Cowra lamb rump and coconut panna cotta will take centre stage.
The beverage list has too had a little makeover, with sophisticated selection of wines, spirits and signature cocktails that champion even more regional produce.

Giggly High Tea
Catch up with the girls for a much-needed weekend cooldown with First Edition’s Giggly High Tea experience. Overlooking the city, enjoy two hours of free-flowing refreshing teapot spritz cocktails and a charcuterie style high tea featuring some of the best local cured meats, antipasto and desserts.

Takeaway Gourmet Picnic Hampers
As we begin to see more sunny days and come out of our winter hibernation, take a picnic hamper made by First Edition to your favourite secluded picnic spot. Available for pick up, their hampers including a delicious range of local produce such as cured meats, Tilba cheese, Fedra Estate olives, salmon gravlax, house-made jam and a bottle of De Bortoli wine. Plus, if the kids are coming, they will also be taken care of with freshly made sandwiches, a piece of fruit and juice.
Or if picnics aren’t your thing, order a BBQ hamper that will impress any BBQ connoisseur. Filled with Cowra lamb rump, lemon and thyme marinated chicken breasts, gourmet sausages, corn cobs with two Bentspoke beers and a bottle of De Bortoli wine, it takes the hassle out of any hosting occasion.
