This Saturday night there will be a hint of nostalgia in the air before the Plus500 Brumbies Australian Conference clash with Queensland rivals the Reds.

That’s because a plethora of Brumbies Legends will roll back the years in a clash against the Reds Barbarians in a retro-round match-up of epic proportions at 5pm, before the Super Rugby 7.45pm kick-off.

With a stack of your favourite Brumbies stars of yester-year set to pull on the Brumbies jersey once more, this match promises to be one not to miss.

Brumby number 6, and cult hero, Ipolito Fenukitau will line up alongside bonafide legends such as lock John Langford, number eight Tamaiti Horua, back-row Jone Tawake, scrum-half Matt Henjak and superstar Andrew Walker.

Walker, who was a part of the Brumbies team that took part in the Brisbane Global Tens, will feature form full-back, whilst there will be the rather unusual sight of ex-hooker Jeremy Paul, a multi-capped Wallaby international in the front-row, pulling the strings from fly-half.

With the potential of Brumbies Head Coach Stephen Larkham and Assistant Coach Peter Ryan coming off the bench, the game offers fans’ the chance to see some of their old favourites back in action.
The Reds Barbarians will be skippered by former Red, and local rugby player, Ben Coutts and will feature players locally and from interstate.
