A rising star of music is coming home to Canberra for his first headline show of 2018.

Blanke is swiftly becoming one of Australia’s most talked about bass artists. Usually found in dark nightclubs and dimly lit studio spaces, this up-n-comer is armed to the teeth with his signature style of bass music vibes when he hits Academy Club on Friday 2 March at 9pm.

Amassing 170K + plays on soundcloud with his bootleg remixes of Drake & futures ‘Jumpman’ and Migos ‘Look at My Dab’, Blanke’s debut 2 track EP Dropped in August 2016 through EDM.com’s Artist Intelligence Agency.

Kicking off 2017 in style, his remix of Aussie hitmakers Peking Duk’s ‘Stranger’ has clocked 220k spins on Spotify. Blanke’s follow up EP ‘Curiosity’ dropped on Aussie imprint Downright records in June, with premieres from Bassrush and Youredm and support from Anna Lunoe on Beats 1 and Pasquale Rotela on Insomniac’s Night Owl Radio.

His most recent release ‘Blue’ through Downright featuring Samsaruh found its way into Spotify’s Viral 50, New Dance Beats and New Music Friday playlists, as well as rotation to Triple J unearthed! Recent remix for Tommy Trash’s Sinners has hit 125k spins on Spotify and found its way into Mint and fresh electronic playlisting too!

This year has seen Blanke share the stage Kill The Noise, Just Blaze, RL Grime, Yellow Claw, Carnage, Kayzo, Zomboy, Jauz, Slushii, Ricky Remedy & Quix, around Australia as well as a slot at Canberra’s Sold out Groovin the Moo and Spilt Milk festivals Sydney’s Defqon.1. and a 17 date headline tour of Australia and New Zealand in support of the curiosity EP.
