Australia’s only festival with a focus on justice, music and arts is back in the capital for its second year. Beyond Festival will be held on the Labour Day Long Weekend (30 September – 3 October) to educate and inspire festival goers to work for justice in their local communities.

The festival will bring together artists, community leaders and musicians to provide a significant message and entertainment.

The speaker line-up is set to headline Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision and Aboriginal Elder Rosalie Kunoth-Monks to inspire the masses.

On the live music front, ARIA award-winner Megan Washington will headline the music stage, joined by Montaigne, Lior, and indigenous artists Frank Yamma and Gambirra Mob.

Beyond Festival coordinator, Robert Howie, believes that the event will provide an environment for families and friends to enjoy a weekend away to explore art, music, and take part in national conservation surrounded by compassion, dignity and respect.

“Both in Australia and overseas, we’ve seen a rise in uncertainty – I’m just one person, what can I do to help?” says Robert.

“The Beyond Festival isn’t the answer, but it’s part of the answer; we bring together people who believe that they can make a change, and provide a voice and peaceful platform for artists, speakers and activists committed to the greater good.

“Beyond is a relaxed way to spend the long weekend amongst a like-minded community. With a full kids’ program for the children, to thought-provoking workshops for the adults – everyone will be entertained.”
