Warehouse Winter Music Festival @ AIS

As I climb the stairs to dance music heaven, the walls of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) are already shaking. It’s early in the day, but Warehouse Winter Musical Festival is heating up.

In its third year, Kick’s Entertainment has managed to attract the masses, with a string of impressive dance, electro and funk acts, both international and home-grown.

The AIS has allowed a full scale takeover, being divided into three main stages – the Arena, Club and Terrace stage. Each stage holds a different atmosphere, but all present heavy hitting, heart-stopping beats.

Voting opens: The OutInCanberra People’s Choice Awards

The OutInCanberra People’s Choice Awards were officially launched today in Garema Square, with Minister for Tourism, Andrew Barr MLA and Canberra’s hospitality industry in tow.

The pursuit is now on for Canberra’s favourite venues – with ‘Favourite Café’ added to the long-standing categories ‘Favourite Restaurant’ and ‘Favourite Nightlife Venue.’

Barr announced voting open and cast his own vote in the OutInCanberra voting booth.

Venezuelan Cuisine Week @ Rydges Capital Hill

Venezuelan Cuisine Week is set to take place at Rydges Capital Hill from 3 – 7 May, with special guest Celebrity Chef Tamara Rodriguez.

On Monday 3 May – Thursday 6 May experience a selection of eight Venezuelan dishes, in addition to Fig Tree Cafe’s á la carte menu.

On Friday 7 May the team will be hosting a Venezuelan Buffet Feast, starting at 6pm for $39.50 per person, including a glass of DeBortoli wine.
