The school holidays are just around the corner and we wish we had the same level of excitement as we did in the early days. Whilst spending more time with the kids is a plus, it also means keeping them entertained all holidays long. But don’t worry, we’ve done the hard work for you with our list of activities!

The school holidays commence from the Monday 15 April for most schools in the ACT.

Inked Exhibition at National Library 

Get the kids out off the phones and back into the books with family-friendly exhibition at the library! Curated by Dr Guy Hansen, Inked showcases the work of some of Australia’s most famous cartoonists, capturing major moments in Aussie history. From the 135 cartoons on display you are guaranteed to be impressed by each and every work as the chosen cartoons came from a collection of some 14,000.

Easter Fun at Gungahlin Marketplace

Get set for 2 weeks of free Easter school holiday activities! Gungahlin marketplace have crafty activities for the whole family, from Easter baskets and photo frames to cupcake decorating and pasta making! On 15 April – 18 April from 10am – 1pm, kids can enjoy arts and crafts.  On 20 April at 10am – 1pm, the Easter bunny is coming to town with an Easter egg hunt! Spots are limited so register here. For cupcake and pasta play, and a whole lot of playing with food, make sure to join on 22 – 26 April at 10am – 1pm! Hop to the marketplace any time these holidays!

Easter Extravaganza Kids High Tea at First Edition

This one is sure to keep both the kids and adults happy! Experience a fun-filled morning at First Edition Canberra with craft, music and games for an Easter Extravaganza! Gelatissimo School Holiday exclusive Gelato

As they say, it’s never too cold for ice-cream. Especially when Gelatissimo is releasing an exclusive flavour for the school holidays! The first of the flavours is Rollercoaster Surprise which was created in celebration of the release of the Wonder Park film! Peter Pan LIVE

It’s time to take a trip to Neverland with the Peter Pan theatre production! Peter Pan is a story of magic, mermaids, pirates and fairies filled with wild dreams, reckless adventures and a belief in the possible. The cast and crew have been hard at work putting together this show with a pulsating synth-pop soundtrack and innovative staging this will be the first show to take place in the new Kambri Drama Theatre. Peppa Pig Family Fun Day at Limelight Cinemas

For the young kiddies, Limelight are bringing a festival of fun family screening to end the holidays! Get ready for Peppa’ Pig’s biggest celebration yet when the muddiest ever festival comes to cinema screens to celebrate 15 years of Peppa Pig! Little piggies can look forward to 10 brand new episodes including a 2-part festival special, as well as exclusive new interactive entertainment featuring singing and playing along with their favourite onscreen characters!
