On Thursday 18 August, comedians from around Australia will unite to support victims of family violence. The Fearless Comedy Gala will be hosted by veteran comedian, Jean Kittson, and see numerous of performers including Sammy J, Adam Richard and Catherine Deveny take the stage.

As family violence is a leading issue in our community, it’s our job to stop victims living in fear, and so local businesses and organisations have come together to show their support.

Adore Tea has created a ‘Fearless’ blend of tea to show its support. Created by the staff, the tea aims to leave you feeling invigorated and empowered. This tea consists of a delicious mix of cinnamon, honey and cream with a hint of chilli, making it the perfect blend for this winter.

“The Fearless Initiative was immediately a cause we wanted to get involved in,” Adore Tea owner, Holly, says.

“As a former youth worker myself, I have seen first hand the impact of family violence on the lives of young people and the devastating effect on families.”

The blend will be on sale for $10.50 for 50g at the teahouse, with $2 from every tea sachet sold donated to the cause.

Fleurage perfumery have also created a perfume scent to support the cause. The fragrance is available for a limited time through the Fleurage website, retailing at $55, with $5 of each perfume sold donated too.

Laugh all your fears away by coming along to this must-see event. The Fearless Comedy Gala will be held at The Canberra Theatre at 7:30pm on Thursday 18 August.

All proceeds of the funds raised by the event and during the night will be donated to the Domestic Violence Crisis Service.
