Wheelchair Road Racing

The annual Canberra International Track meet is returning to Canberra for its 30th year for three evenings of wheelchair racing.

The Summer Down Under Wheelchair Road Racing Series is the highest profile wheelchair sporting event in Australia. The Series has grown from a single road race to an international competition, with both elite Australian and international athletes competing in track and road events in January each year. In 2019, the Oz Day 10K will be celebrating 30 years of racing.

Canberra International Track Meet (Sunday 20 – Tuesday 22 January, 5.30-8.20pm) – 3 evenings of racing at the Australian Institute of Sport Track (incorporating a Junior and Developing athlete Mentor Clinic on the final day). All events are free for the public to attend.

DonateLife Walk

Registrations now open for Gift of Life’s DonateLife Walk 2019.

Canberrans will join together on Wednesday 13 February for Gift of Life’s DonateLife Walk 2019, to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation and registration.

In its 13th year, the annual walk is expected to draw thousands of people to Regatta Point, Lake Burley Griffin, including local and national political leaders who continue to support the Walk.  Gift of Life’s DonateLife Walk 2019 is a free event at 6:45am for a 7am sharp start.

Gift of Life’s DonateLife Walk is Canberra’s largest community activity in support of organ and tissue donation. The Walk is sponsored by the Organ and Tissue Authority and supported by the ACT Government.
