Truffle Festival

 The much anticipated truffle season is in full swing in Canberra with many different ways to get your taste of the heavenly truffle. Taste the carefully curated truffle dishes and menus at many local restaurants, cafes, bars and wineries who are celebrating the season. Whether you partake in fine-dining, after more casual eats or looking to learn how to forage and prep them yourself, The Truffle Fest has an event for you.

Warm Trees

 Help brighten up the National Arboretum this winter with the ACT’s Warm Trees knitted installations. You can simply volunteer and drop off your knitted and crochet scarf creations or attend their drop in sessions if you don’t already know the techniques. During the month of July you can walk through the Himalayan Cedar forest at the Arboretum and see the colourful scarves wrapped around the tree trunks. Then at the end of the month some of the items will be made into blankets and donated to charity. Become apart of a great idea and cause this winter. Find knitting and crochet times online.

Questacon Winter Nights 

Sneak in after hours to Questacon’s mid-winter nights spectacular! Dance under a 7m moon, discover celestial wonders stargazing, get creative with space themed activities and dine in a glowing food court in their eight action-packed galleries. Ramen + Hip hop @ Lazy Su

Lazy Su’s Ramen + Hip Hop is back and is set to be a another slurp-fest. On June 25th warm up your soul with one of their five excellent flavour combos such as fried chicken Ramen and spicy pork + kimchi Mazeman Ramen. Plus good hip-hop jams all night and cocktails. Kids High Tea

Get snowed in at the Winter Edition Kids High Tea at First Edition! On Monday the 15th July enjoy a fun filled day of face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon modellers by the Gecko Gang and of course a winter’s morning tea of mini quiches, toasted marshmallow sticks, finger sandwiches, scone, fairy bread and much more! There is also something for Mums and Dads to enjoy, so make this a family outing and book your tickets today!

Skating in the City

 Glide through winter at Canberra’s Wintervention ice-skating rink located at Civic Square at the front of the Canberra Arts Centre. From July 5 to 21 soak up the crisp winter air in your scarf and mittens and choose a skating session available for all ages. Come before your session begins or stay after it ends and watch the spectacular ice shows that perform in between each session with a warm hot chocolate from the winter bar. Canberra Fashion Market

 Find your perfect winter outfit at the annual Canberra Fashion Market this year at their new home, Thoroughbred Park. On July 13 from 10am to 4pm explore fashion bargains which are set to be bigger and better than any previous year. Ice Hockey

Watch one of the greatest winter sports at the Philip Ice-Skating Centre. Watch the Canberra Brave’s defeat other state teams in five challenging games during July and August. Find tickets here!
