Winter in the City is back in Canberra from 5 to 19 July, and the City is set to become the hottest spot in town.

For 15 days, the City Walk and Petrie Plaza area will come alive with free daily fire shows, circus acts, theatre, and musical comedy shows to warm you up this winter. In between performances, you can sip on a hot chocolate, toast some marshmallows, or grab a mulled wine from the bar and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Performance highlights this year include the incredible Circus Oz, bringing a collision of comedy, acrobatics, flying trapeze, and daredevil stunts from their eclectic ensemble. The Circus Firemen will ignite the stage with thrilling fire juggling, acrobatics, and daring ladder stunts, creating a show that’s exciting for all ages. Mission to the Moon, promises a high-energy performance that blends circus, theatre, and real space science, or Lucky Jim’s Messy Room, a hilarious and musical show the whole family will love.

If you caught them last year, Fire Performances from Flux Entertainment returns with a bigger and bolder show with dazzling pyrotechnic displays nightly at 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.

On 19 July, The Forage is back and better to bring you a winter event like no other. Indulge in Canberra’s best street food with DJ sets, live music, Circus Oz, and fire performances during this special edition of the event. Their advice is to rug up, round up your mates, and come hungry.

Whether you visit during the day or night, make the most of it – grab a table at your favourite restaurant or discover a new spot, and take time to wander through the local shops.
