From the lovers who brought us Foreshore, Lexington Music and Friction are back to put crunch in your muesli.

Canberra’s had a big summer of music, and now with names like Beastie Boy’s Mixmaster Mike and Cassius being pulled of the hat, Warehouse Winter Music Festival is set to be ripper.

AIS Arena will be home to the Winter Wonderland on Saturday 31st May with smashing dance anthems from Brazil to Britain set to have you warmed up and screaming for more.

“June being a cooler time of the year for Canberra, we wanted opted for the AIS Arena for Warehouse. It’s never been used for an event of this kind before and we are laying the venue out so that it will combine indoor and outdoor spaces,” Jeff Drake, Friction Event Management said.

Always aiming to musically educate Canberrans, the team have cooked up an impressive and diverse range of acts, that will have you dancing outside your square.

“Musically it was important to us to get a great mix of familiar names, people are currently rocking out to like The Potbelleez and Mix Master Mike and placing alongside them some cool and interesting acts that people may not have heard of before like Bonde Do Role and Mr Oizo. And from there a few older ‘classic’ artists such as Cassius, Utah Saints and a personal favourite of mine – Hybrid!”

First released tickets sold out in 48 hours, but you can still grab final release from Ticketek and Landspeed Records for a very reasonable $64.96 + bf.

“Punters can expect levels of production never before delivered in Canberra. We are going way over the top in stage and room design that will complement the musical experience. There will definitely be some surprises along the way!”

Stay tuned to OutInCanberra for the announcement of more national and international second release headline acts soon.
