The 19th annual Movie Extra Tropfest returns live via satellite to Commonwealth Park, on Sunday 20 February 2011 to the largest live audience outside Sydney.
As the world’s largest short film festival, Tropfest is recognised for its unique platforms for emerging filmmakers,
each year attracting over 600 entries.
In 2010 over 23,500 movie fans enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the Canberra screening, and this year’s crowd is expected to reach a record crowd of 25,000.
If you’re after a little more luxury than a blanket on the grass, Premium Seating with ‘VIP offerings’ will again
be on offer. This year there are two premium seating sites with VIP parking, allocated seating, designated

The festival kicks off at 3pm with a live DJ and bands, plus the screening of Tropfest Jr (short filmmaking competition open to kids aged 15 years and younger), followed by the main Tropfest film screening from 7.30pm.
