The sexy and sassy musical smash-hit The Sapphires is heading to Canberra from 9 to 12 February
at The Playhouse.

Starring Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan the production was written by Australian actor and writer Tony Briggs and re-directed by award winning Director Neil Armfield and well-respected Indigenous Associate Director Wayne Blair (based on the production originally
directed by Wesley Enoch).

This foot-stomping, feel-good musical had audiences dancing in the aisles during its Australian and Korean tours in 2010 and is based on the true story of Briggs’ mother and aunts who were the original Sapphires.
