This year The Color Run, also known as the ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’, is coming to Canberra! This Sunday the 16th of February to be precise!
It’s a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a colour crazy day with your friends and family. Throughout the race participants are covered from head to toe in different colours being thrown on them at each kilometre. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Finish Festival”, using more coloured powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid colour combinations.
What’s the point you ask? The event is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. It’s all about fun positive energy and focuses on promoting healthy living. Swisse is the major sponsor of the Australian tour which is the perfect fit for the aim of this event.
The five-kilometre, un-timed race only has three rules;
Rule #1 All participants are welcome… fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.
Rule #2 White shirt dress code at the official start line and ready to roll no later than 8am sharp!
Rule #3 Get completely covered in crazy coloured goodness at the finish festival.
