A team of nutritionists and dietitians from The Healthy Eating Hub have launched a series of 12 ‘naughty’ wholefoods boxes called The Hub Boxes, encouraging healthy eating habits. In each box, cheekily labelled #smallpackage, you’ll find all the tools and knowledge you need to implement healthy habits into your day-to-day life. Including recipes, information cards and delicious wholefoods from local suppliers. The team believe healthy eating should be fun and exciting, so they have also included puns and sexual innuendos into the boxes, such as ones titled ‘Afternoon Delight’ (how to snack right) and ‘A Good Lay’ (how to incorporate nutritious eggs into your meals) to keep people motivated.

Nutritionist and founder of The Healthy Eating Hub, Kate Freeman came up with the idea from her own personal experience of finding that “restriction and cutting foods only leads to failure”, and after continuously seeing her clients struggle with sustaining healthy eating habits. She finds that there is so much conflicting information on the internet and social media about what to eat and what diets to follow that people are getting confused and never progressing. Kate believes that it’s unrealistic to follow a diet for the rest of your life, therefor the road to long-term success is learning how to make more informed food choices.

Through The Hub boxes she wants “to set people free from strict diets and stupid food rules and teach them how to eat healthy in a way that is viable for the rest of their lives.”

Product sales are available now, choose from the ‘Love and Marriage’ option of a 6 month subscription of 12 fortnightly boxes, or ‘Friends with Benefits’ option of an individual box from the series. There are only 100 subscriptions available for residents in Canberra and Queanbeyan, so to get first dibs a priority list has been set up on The Healthy Eating Hub’s website.
