The Meat & Wine Co has been on the radar of new Canberra restaurants for a while now and its finally opening!

On April 21 they will be opening their doors in Constitution Place, joining the recently opened retail, dining and office development, in the heart of the CBD. Marking their 10th restaurant from the brand, they invite Canberrans to experience their Afro-centric menu with premium and dry-aged steaks, a hand-selected wine list and trending paddock to plate dishes and meals.

“We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity and premium location to open our first ‘The Meat & Wine Co’ venue in Canberra. We believe Constitution Place is a perfect iconic site to showcase our food and beverage offering, personable service, afro-centric atmosphere, and dining theatre. We are excited to share our passion and offering to the local community of Canberra very soon,” says Operations Manager Australia of The Meat & Wine Co, Troy Mattingly.

With a menu that follows the seasons, Australian ingredients and produce, and dishes and cooking techniques that honour African culture and tastes, it’s a unique dining experience that offers something for everyone.

At the heart of it all is the extensive meat program, including their new AGED program which incorporates classic dry aging methods along with a butter aging technique.

To drink, the team have designed a hand-selected range of wines that have been curated to match the steaks and dishes on the menu, including some favourites from Canberra’s very own wine region.

To complete the entire dining experience, the restaurant has been designed to create a comfortable, unique dining space that reflects their African heritage, with a particular focus on the essence of storytelling.

The Meat & Wine Co will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 12-10pm from April 21.
