Verity Lane Market, Canberra’s chef-driven food hall and bar is adding to its group of vendors, bringing Dickson’s Super Bao to a second location!

Joining Ramen Daddy, Project Enoki and Pizza Artigiana, Super Bao will be the fourth venue to the communal sitting space, adding to the truly unique and special dining experience.

Known for their soft, fluffy handmade bao buns filled with goodness, Super Bao are bringing a selection of their most popular dishes for diners to get their hands on, including their popcorn chicken, lobster spring roll and a brand-new creation; the bao-gur.

The new bun is exclusive to Verity Lane and consists of a black burger-shaped bao bun, coloured with cuttlefish ink, filled with delicious soft-shell crab, picked daikon mixed with fish roe, with wasabi mayo dressing.

Owners Paul Xu and Angel Zhang say the flavours are inspired by memories from their childhoods in Shanghai and family recipes past down for generations.

“We wanted to create a food adventure that showcased real Asian flavours,” says Ms Zang.

“The bao is the perfect format to showcase traditional flavours of Asia in a modern Australian way. And our baos are the only authentic, hand-made baos available in Canberra.”
