The inaugural Summerside festival, presented by Poacher’s Way launches this February. Over 25 venues throughout the Canberra region will be hosting various events including wine tasting, live music, art exhibitions and outdoor experiences. The festival begins on Wednesday 1st February and will run throughout the month of February 2012.

Many of you will be familiar with Poacher’s Way’s signature event, The Fireside Festival held each August. On the back of the success of this event they’re showcasing the best of the region in summer with the Summerside Festival.

The month-long festival will be full of dining events that celebrate local and seasonal produce. There is the opportunity to taste the best of the region’s wines, and there will be innovative and exciting performances, events and exhibitions highlighting Canberra’s amazing local talent.

Here’s a few suggestions to make the most out of the festival …. try your hand at a Wine Masterclass at Lerida Estate, or enjoy a long lunch at Poachers Pantry, a twilight movie viewing at Flint in the Vines, an afternoon of live music at Gundaroo Colonial Inn, and champagne and wine tasting at Mount Majura Vineyard. Add a romantic twist and make a weekend of it at one of the Poacher’s Way B&Bs… just to name a few!
